Part of the AEA Group, Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) is a world leading environmental and energy-consulting group. Beginning in late 2010, ERG conducted an extensive study to determine how industry production impacts the air quality in the Barnett Shale area of North Texas. This included sampling 388 gas wells and gas transportation sites, as well as unannounced on-site monitoring. The results confirmed that sites do not impact neighborhood health.
